Advanced SVH 3 level excluding SVH exam.
This course gives you a broad knowledge of wine. We believe in learning and studying about wine in a friendly atmosphere. This SVH recognized training gives you a broad knowledge of wine. Our approach is based on learning and studying about wine in a friendly atmosphere. In eight evenings or four days, you will learn and delve int :
√ The wine regions of the world.
√ Tasting, assessing wine.
√ Characteristics of grape varieties and wine regions.
√ Winemaking, vinification.
√ Recognize differences in quality.
At the end of the course you will sit for the official SVH Wine 3 exam. (Not compulsory) The diploma is a requirement for admission to the Vinologist/Sommelier course (SVH Vinologist level 4) We will taste and discover approximately 70 characteristic wines. You gain mainly practical knowledge and learn to judge wines in a neutral way.
Day course: Saturday (Amsterdam, Houten)
Start: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Duration: 4 weeks (NOTE: last day is the SVH 3 exam in Houten)
Evening courses: Mon to Thu (Amsterdam, The Hague, Houten)
Start: 19.00 – 22.00 hours
Duration: 8 weeks (NOTE: *Last day is the SVH 3 exam on in Houten)

License duration E-Learning: The duration of the online program is 4 months. After this period the license will stop automatically.
For whom?
This SVH wine training is suitable for employees in the hospitality industry, wine trade, supermarkets, and wholesalers. This wine training is also suitable for enthusiastic home hobby cooks and wine lovers. We recommend starting this advanced training with some basic knowledge of wine. SVH wine 2 or equivalent is a plus. You can also take the course fully online in a self-study format.
