SVH Wine 3 exam consists of two exam components: Theory and Organoleptic. To obtain the SVH Wine 3 Diploma, both exams must be successfully completed.

Exam Requirements SVH Wine 3 Organoleptic: General: In the SVH Wine 3 Organoleptic exam, you will taste six different wines. Of the six wines, three are white and three are red. 50 ml of each wine is poured. No additional wine will be poured during the exam. In addition to the wines, a glass of water and a spit bucket will be provided. The water glass can be refilled upon request.

The exam consists of six multiple-choice questions and two tasting notes. Each multiple-choice question has three options (A, B, and C), with one correct answer. For the wines in glasses 3 and 6, you need to create a tasting note using a tasting note form and utilize the outer ring of the provided flavor wheel. The exam duration is 45 minutes.

Exam Requirements SVH Wine 3 Theory: General: The SVH Wine 3 Theory exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. Each multiple-choice question has three options (A, B, and C), with one correct answer. The exam duration is 45 minutes. Only the ‘To Take Home’ form may be taken home. With this form, you can review the provisional answers to the exam on the SVH website on the first working day after the exam.

Passing Grade: You can score a total of 40 points for the entire exam, one point for each correctly answered multiple-choice question. You pass the exam when you have achieved a minimum of 24 points (60%).
