Program SVH Vintners/Sommelier training
In this course you will taste approximately 500 wines that have been specially compiled to teach good tasting technique. After all, the organoleptic examination and assessment of wine forms the basis of all wine knowledge. The SVH Vinologist/Sommelier course therefore devotes the utmost attention to developing and refining sensory characteristics. Because the “blind” tasting of wines is an extremely important part of the organoleptic module, you will be practiced in this skill from the first lesson.

SVH Vinologist/Sommelier goes beyond the wine knowledge required of a vinologist
With this SVH Vinoloog/sommelier training you will be trained more broadly than the title suggests. The content of the course is geared to the SVH Vinologist/Sommelier exam. You will be prepared to give advice about wine and food in a broad context. In this you will be guided by a team of top teachers with various gastronomic lessons from an SVH Master Chef. So SVH Vinologist/Sommelier goes beyond just the wine knowledge required of a vinologist.

Start at your convenience
Total training takes 1 year. In the months of July and August there are no classes scheduled. The class will cover the technique of analytical tasting. You taste about 500 wines that are characteristic of that day’s theoretical part. Hospitality specific skills are also covered during the morning practical sessions and in the digital classroom in the form of a case study.

Digital Classroom
In addition to our E-Learning program, we are introducing the Digital Classroom. With this new feature, we will make it possible to take LIVE online classes on a wide variety of topics such as making assignments, case studies, tastings and tests. rVS a recognized and registered SVH title
By means of registration in the SVH Register Vinoloog/sommelier you can obtain permanent knowledge as a qualified Vinologist/sommelier and demonstrate that your professional competence is up to standard. You may use the title SVH Register Vinoloog/sommelier (rVS) for 3 years. The title gives you an outstanding status and recognition in the market. Moreover, you can put rVS behind your name as a recognized and registered title. Of course, there is a tool-kit available where you can use the expressions for your business card, website and/or brochure, for example.

License duration E-Learning: The duration of the online program is 12 months. After this period the license will stop automatically.
