On this wine tour, you’ll visit four famous French wine regions. From guided tours and tastings to gourmet lunches, the programme combines wine knowledge with plenty of opportunity to experience France.
Visit selected wineries in Champagne, Chablis, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé and discover how the different wines are made.
Taste the wines on site and, under expert guidance, learn more about grape varieties, terroir and winemaking.
Enjoy group lunches along the way, including culinary experiences in Reims, Chablis and Sancerre.
Drive through the vineyards and see for yourself how much the soil, climate and landscape vary from one region to another.
After each day’s travel, you’ll stay in a hotel in or near the wine region that’s the focus of the day’s itinerary.
There’s also scope to do your own thing, for example to explore Reims or Sancerre and choose your own restaurant in the evening.
In four days, you’ll discover just how diverse northern France is. Each region has its own grape varieties, terroir and winemaking methods.
Start your journey in Champagne and visit Nicolas Feuillatte for a guided tour and tasting. Discover how the famous sparkling wine is made and what makes Champagne so special all over the world.
In Chablis, it’s all about Chardonnay and terroir. You’ll visit Domaine Fourrey and Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, amongst others, and sample the mineral-driven style for which this region is renowned.
Continue on to Sancerre for a visit to Château Fournier. Discover why Sauvignon Blanc develops such a distinctive character here, and take the opportunity to explore the historic town of Sancerre.
The tour concludes in Pouilly-Fumé. Taste Sauvignon Blanc once again, but discover how the terroir and location give rise to a style that is distinctly different from that on the other side of the Loire.
Throughout the trip, the focus is entirely on discovering and experiencing wine. The visits, tastings, accommodation and various culinary experiences have therefore been carefully arranged for you in advance.
Flight, travel and cancellation insurance are not included. This means you can decide for yourself which airport to depart from and whether you wish to extend your stay at your own expense.
